Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W120 ISO function

This Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W120 Super SteadyShot digital camera come with 9 mode dial, one of it is ISO for High Sensitivity. We can use this function if we want to shoots images with out a flash even in low lighting (base on manual). If you set to this mode, you cannot activate the flash; if you still try…an error message will display “flash setting cannot be change”.

I asked the sales girl about ISO function and she said we need to use this function if we want to shoots moving object like people running or if we want to take photo in not enough light area.

Honestly, I never try or use this function for my previous digital camera. So for this Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W120 Super SteadyShot digital camera, I decided to try all the function and see the different. This Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W120 Super SteadyShot digital camera have 7 ISO level start from ISOAuto, ISO100, ISO200, ISO400, ISO800, ISO1600, ISO3200.

To try ISO function, I take a photo of ceiling fan which the speed is 1. Change the mode dial to P Program Auto and press MENU button than you see the ISO selection.

Below is the photo that I shoot with different ISO level. This ISO mode I select manually program auto mode.

As I mention in previous my early post, I'm not the expert in digital camera and I found two blog that explain clearly about ISO. One is SLR Photography Guide and another one is digital camera sensitivity

I'm sure there are many blog or website that talk about ISO for digital camera, so just put in the comment if you know any.
